If only it were possible to ascertain the internal quality of fruit without touching it! Many technologies have attempted to address the demand from marketers for high quality fresh fruit, but until the introduction of Chemical Imaging Technology (CIT®) they never succeeded.

For the first time, Chemical Imaging Technology (CIT®) is able to sort fruits by ripeness without being influenced by color. The only factor considered is the quality beneath the skin. Additionally, bruises, foreign bodies or other unwelcome chemical changes on the surface of the fruit can be recognized and removed. We are also happy to combine classification with information on color.
